Colour Circular 1 Week Promotions

This is a one week promotion, which is advertised in our Colour Mailer.

The promotional price is determined by your deal given and the current promotional price in the market. We use some of our margins plus your deal to reach the required promotional price.

Colour Circular promotional products must either be stocked by 95% of Four Square stores, or included in our current 'Advertised Range'.

Colour Circular 4 Week Promotion

This is a four week promotion, which is advertised in our Colour Mailer. This is usually advertised on the first week of the promotion and runs in-store at the same price for the remaining three weeks.

The promotional price is determined by your deal given and the current promotional price in the market. We also use some of our margins plus your deal to reach the required promotional price.

All Colour Circular promotional products must either be stocked by 95% of Four Square stores, or included in our current 'Advertised Range'.

Bonus Deal Optional 4 Week Promotion

This is a four week in-store promotion for product that is not stocked by all stores, but must be stocked by at least 10.

Bonus Deal Optional promotions are a good way for suppliers to gain distribution in the Four Square Group, as they are optional for the stores that do not stock the product. All stores receive advance communication of the planned promotion and promotional shelf talkers, so those who don't stock the product may wish to trial it over the promotional period.

Clashes

Colour Circular or Bonus Deal Optional promotions on similar types of products will not start on the same week, but may overlap during the second, third or fourth weeks of the promotion.

Co-op Charges

The Four Square Group continues to be the major Supermarket Group in the rural areas and small towns of the South Island. With our re-branding now complete, our focus on store standards, scanning upgrades and the new initiatives introduced, the Four Square Group has maintained its strong share of the market in 2007.

We have 72 stores throughout the South island with a liquor licence. This makes Four Square, in their convenient locations, a very powerful consumer choice when selecting liquor.

The Four Square Group has continued to be consistent with the presentation of its advertising formats. These include our major consumer giveaway promotion, our weekly circular and our very popular, and much talked about, TV commercial. We believe that this has had a major bearing on our strong share and in providing you with value for your Co-op spend.
